Another idea sketch for The Problem

A (very) rough sketch of an idea I had for the upper half of my computer desk.  It's based on a desk in a box that I saw in a local vintage furniture store.
I nice box when closed.  Could be anything inside.
Open it up and start pulling and unfolding.

And it becomes some of my favorite kind of furniture.  Well designed and incredibly thought out.  This was a nice find for me.  If I wasn't on a student's budget I could have afforded it.  But even if I could afford more furniture there is no way anything could fit in our already cramped apartment.

Dinning Table and Chairs

I found this dinning table on Apartment Therapy. I don't know how comfortable the chairs would be but the precision of the fit of the chairs into the table more than make up for any shortcomings.

Jackson Street Furniture

Via Design Milk:

"Jackson Street Furniture is a new contemporary furniture company in Denver, CO owned and operated by designer Adam Fitzgerald. Trained as an architect, Fitzgerald wanted to create more intimate designs so he moved from buildings to furniture. He says “like architecture, it has a form, structure, and function that must work together and complement each other, but it’s something that you see, feel, and touch almost your entire day.” You can see the influence of his architectural background, and each piece almost looks like the beginnings of a wonderful building.

I have to say these pieces are pretty sexy with their prominent curves and exaggerated angles. I also like the use of glass mixed with wood."
